some common questions we get from customers:
- Do you offer domain
registration?
A: Yes! Please visit
http://domains.hawkinshosting.com
- Will you install scripts for
me?
A: Yes. If a script is located on our website,
hawkinsinternet.com, the scripts directory, or listed in cPanel,
we'll install it and provide support to you.
- Do you provide support for
scripts I install myself?
A: It is limited. We'll try our best, but if we don't install
it--we are not required to provide support on it.
- What if I already have a domain?
Should I transfer it?
A: While we welcome domain transfers to us, it is not required.
We recommend taking the cheapest option in making this decision.
- I am currently hosting on
Windows, can you move it to Linux?
A: 99% of the time we can. Some scripts may need to be updated
or re-written (which may cost you extra).
- Can you prove that you have
99.9% uptime?
A: Yes, we can e-mail you statistics if you require it. There
are also websites on the internet that monitor uptime that you
can check out (many of them are not free). Also, if we do not
meet the 99% uptime guarantee during any month, we'll
refund your money.
- Why is your DNS response time
shown as slow on certain website trackers?
A: We have anti-DoS (denial of service) attack software
installed. This prevents attacks from taking our websites
offline. They do not affect performance but may show that
our website is slow when you ping our IP addresses.
- What level of support do you
offer?
A: Advanced and personalized. We provide free maintenance,
support for most scripts, we'll help you with web site and
dedicated hosting is all managed by us.
- What ways can I contact you?
